Eligibility Criteria
In order to apply to the UWC movement through the National Committee of India, candidates must meet our eligibility criteria.
Age Requirements
Candidates must be between 16 to 18 years of age at the time of enrolment.
Our current age criteria is that applicants must be born after 1st June, 2008 and before 1st September, 2010.
*However, please note that slightly younger applicants currently in the 10th grade who will be 15 years old at the time of enrolment can also apply and may be invited to selections if they present exceptional applications.
Citizenship/Residency Requirements
Candidates must be Indian nationals or PIO/OCI card holders or residents of India.
Academic Requirements
Candidates must currently be in Grade 10 or Grade 11. We also accept applications from students who have been home-schooled or alternatively schooled.
Scholarships and Fees
We believe that the best and the brightest students should be able to attend UWC irrespective of their family’s ability to pay. UWCs are amongst the premier residential educational schools in the world and fees range from INR 20 lakhs per annum to INR 55 lakhs per annum (approximation - subject to change), depending on the UWC and prevailing currency exchange rates.
All students who apply are put through a robust financial needs analysis. If it is determined that the student needs scholarship support, and has qualified as per the merit list, then support will be offered.
Please note: Scholarships are awarded on a combination of merit and need. (Example: Even if a student finishes first in the merit list, but the robust financial needs analysis shows that the family can afford to pay full fees, then no scholarship will be awarded.)
